Bag and entry rules
Small bags (6 x 9 in) do not need to be clear. Larger bags do.
Clutches, fanny packs, and small purses up to 6 x 9 inches can be any material. Anything bigger must be clear and under 12 x 6 x 12 inches. Hydration packs are allowed non-clear but must enter empty with no more than two main compartments and one smaller one. Check the official page before you buy anything.
No re-entry means your bag has to last the full day
Once you leave, you are done. That changes the math on what to bring — everything in your bag needs to work from 11:45 a.m. gates-open to 10 p.m. curfew. If you would need to leave for something, bring it or rent a locker.
Download tickets offline before you leave
In 2025, digital ticket issues delayed hundreds of people at the gate during rain. Save your tickets to your phone wallet or screenshot them. Do not rely on pulling up the Ticketmaster app with spotty cell service and wet fingers.
Medication and prohibited items
Prescription medication in original containers with matching ID
Gov Ball allows prescriptions but only in original labeled containers with identification that matches the name on the label. Only bring what you need for the day. Keep it visible and separate in your bag so security can see it without digging.
No aerosol anything, no glass, no outside food
Aerosol sunscreen, perfume, anything in a glass container, and outside food are all prohibited. Lotion sunscreen, an empty reusable bottle, and your payment method are the essentials that get through.
The festival is fully cashless
Cards and mobile payment only. No cash vendors. Make sure your payment method works on your phone and your card is accessible even if your phone dies.
